Suite à une commande spéciale, voici un nouvel exercice :
A -En utilisant les adjectifs suivants, complétez les phrases :
annoying/annoyed - satisfying/satisfied - relaxing/relaxed -
tiring/tired - surprised/surprising
1/ I like being a nurse. It's very ..... to be able to help people who are ill.
2/ We were glad to arrive after such a long and .... journey.
3/ Jane's boss was very .... with her work. He agreed to increase her salary.
4/ The children fell asleep quickly because they were ..... after playing in the park.
5/ The music was so .... that Susan fell asleep
6/ Please, stop making that noise. It's very .... !
7/ Nobedy expected the government to win the election so the result was very .....
8/ If you were wondering why I look so .... it's because I've been on holiday for two weeks.
9/ Please don't get .... with Tim. It wasn't his fault.
10/ Thomas hadn't heard from Mary in years, so he was .... to get a letter from her.
B -Complétez chacune des phrases en utilisant un adjectif ou un adverbe donné :
good - well - fast - late - lately - hard - hardly
1/ How are you feeling today, Georges ?
- Oh, I'm very .... thanks. My stomach-ache has gone completely.
2/ I've been feeling ill ....., so I think I'll go and see the doctor tomorrow.
3/ Simon and Kevin have .... said a word to each other all day.
4/ I was feeling very tired this morning so I got up ......
5/ Steven worked ..... all day. He wanted to finish painting the lounge before his wife came home.
6/ Lucy thought the TV programme was very ......, but Bernard didn't like it.
7/ Look. It's not ..... All you have to do is press this switch and then turn the knob to the right.
8/ Sarah can't swim very ..... but she can run very fast.
9/ The post was delivered at ten o'clock this morning but normally it comes at eight. I don't know why it was .....
10/ James is a ..... cook. One day he wants to have his own restaurant.

2/ We were glad to arrive after such a long and TIRED journey.
3/ Jane's boss was very SATISFIED with her work. He agreed to increase her salary.
4/ The children fell asleep quickly because they were TIRED after playing in the park.
5/ The music was so RELAXING that Susan fell asleep
6/ Please, stop making that noise. It's very ANNOYING !
7/ Nobedy expected the government to win the election so the result was very SURPRISING
8/ If you were wondering why I look so RELAXED it's because I've been on holiday for two weeks.

Pour Cat : Personnellement, je traduirais la phrase 7 par :
Regarde. Ce n'est pas difficile. Tout ce que tu as à faire est d'appuyer sur ce commutateur et puis de tourner la poignée vers la droite.
