Bonsoir,

je suis nouvelle sur le site mais je l'apprécie bien! Au cours des exercices que j'ai pu faire, ou des topics que j'ai lus, j'ai pu constater qu'il y a beaucoup de gens qui se débrouillent très bien en anglais mais que vous ne vous servez pas trop des "phrasal verbs". Et c'est pourtant incontournable dans une conversation anglaise.
Je vous propose donc de traduire ces petites phrases que j'ai inventées en utilisant des "phrasal verbs".
PS: je ne suis pas bilingue alors il se peut que lors de ma correction je propose une erreur (même si je ferai tout pour que cela n' arrive pas), alors n'hésitez pas à me le dire si jamais vous en voyez une!
Correction dimanche 11 février

1/ J'ai rencontré Brandon hier au cinéma.
2/ Retrouvons-nous à 10h00 devant la bibliothèque.
3/ Tu as entendu ce bruit? Je crois que quelqu'un s'est fait renverser.
4/ Je n'ai plus d'argent. Pourrais tu m'en prêter?
5/ Je veux bien te déposer chez Sonya mais alors on partage les frais.
6/ Je ne pourrai pas venir ce soir, j'ai un rendez-vous avec Tash.
7/ J'ai rendez-vous chez le docteur à 13h00, mais on peut mettre quelque chose au point après!
8/ Dans quel bâtiment est notre partiel? Je n'en sais rien, il faut que je me renseigne.
9/ J'essaie de trouver une solution à ce problème.
10/ Je n'ai rien à voir avec cette histoire! Réglez ce problème entre vous!

Bonjour, je suis désolée, mais après relecture de mes phrases proposées, j'ai constaté que la phrase n°6 ne contenait pas de "phrasal verb (désolée je ne connais pas le mot français )

Hello! so welcome and thanks for this exercice because for me it's confused "phrasal verbs" and "prepositionnals verbs"....

1/ I've met Brandon yesterday to the cinema.
2/ Let's find each other at 10 o'clock in front of the library.
3/ Did you heard this noise ?I think someone is knocking over.
4/ I've no more money. Could you lend me some ?
5/ I'd love to drop you off to Sonya but then we share the costs each other .
6/ I'll could not come this evening, I've a date with Tash.
7/ I've an apointment to the doctor at 1 o'clock, but we can start something after !
8/ In which building is our partiel ? I really don't know, I must find it out .
9/ I try to find a solution to this problem.
10/ I'm not concerned by this story ! Sort out this problem by ourself.

1/ I came across Brandon at the cinema yesterday.
2/ Let's meet up at 10 am in front of the library.
3/ Have you heard that noise? I think somebody has been knocked over.
4/ I haven't got any more money. Could you lend me some? /Could you "lend out" some money to me?(just a bit longer to say!!!)
5/ I don't mind dropping you at Sonya's, but then, we'll share / split / divide up the expenses.
6/ I won't be able to come to night / I won't be able to make it this evening.
I've arranged to meet with Tash. (je n'ai pas mis "meet up"qui est plus: se revoir, se retrouver...., mais....)
7/ I've got an appointment to see the doctor at 1pm, but we can fix up something later!
8/ In which building are we supposed to sit our exam? I haven't got a clue. We've got to find out.
9/ I'm trying to work out a solution for this problem.
10/ I've got nothing to do with that story! Sort out the problem between the two of you! (ok, pas forcément “entre vous deux”, mais ça dépend du contexte....)
Si tu aimes les "phrasal verbs", tu vas être très heureux de lire le corrigé de: "Les verbes anglais à particules" --> exercice d'anglais sur le forum, rendu aujourd'hui.

Bonjour,

je viens de lire les quatre propositions pour l'instant et j'ai remarqué que les "phrasal verbs" sont peu employés!
Dans la phrase 6, c'est MON erreur, il n'y en a pas. Mais dans les autres, il faudrait essayer d'en trouver un. Je sais que ce n'est pas facile et que d'autres solutions sans ces "phrasal verbs" existent mais c'est justement le but du jeu!
Phrase 4: le phrasal verb se trouve dans la première partie de la phrase!!! Hint: pensez à "tomber en panne (en voiture)", c'est le même phrasal verb que vous devez utiliser!

Voici mon corrigé. L'essentiel de l'exercice était de trouver des verbes à particules dans les phrases.
Il y avait parfois plus d'une possibilité, c'est pourquoi vous trouverez parfois plus d'une réponse.
Note: J'ai supprimé la phrase 6 à cause de mon erreur.

1- I ran into / came across Brandon at the movie (cinema) yesterday.
to run into = to come across = rencontrer quelqu'un par hasard, tomber sur quelqu'un
dans certains contextes, to come across peut aussi signifier: traverser.

2- Let's meet up at 10 am in front of the library.
to meet up = rejoindre, retrouver, revoir
to get together = se réunir, se rassembler (possible, mais cela dépendra du contexte, )

3- Did you hear that noise? I think someone has got knocked over.
to get knocked over = se faire renverser

4- I'm running out of money. Could you lend me some?
to run out of money = être à court d'argent
Pensez à la voiture: to run out of petrol!

5- I agree to drop you off at Sonya's but then we'll split up the expenses / share out the expenses.
to drop somebody off at... = déposer quelqu'un à. ../ devant...
to split up / to share out the expenses = répartir/partager les frais

7- I've got an appointment at the doctor's at 1pm but we can work something out /fix something up later on.
to work something out = calculer, résoudre, trouver une solution
to fix something up = arranger, organiser

8- In which building do we have to write/sit our exam? I have no idea, I've got to find out.
to find out = se renseigner, découvrir, trouver.
(entre parenthèses, to sit an exam = se présenter à un examen, passer un examen)

9- I'm trying to figure this problem out / to figure out this problem.
to figure out = arriver à comprendre
to work out, find out a solution = to solve out = trouver une solution, arriver à résoudre un problème

10- I've got nothing to do with that story! Sort the problem out by yourselves.
to sort out = arranger, régler.
