Hello everyone !
Here is a text that I've had to do in my french class of "Thème, anglais des médias", and I thought I could give it to you so you can try to translate it too.

La Pauvreté touche 1 enfant britannique sur 3
Un enfant sur trois, soit 3,8 millions d'enfants, vit dans la pauvreté en Grande-Bretagne, c'est à dire dans des foyers disposant de moins de 242 livres (350 euros) par semaine, a révélé mercredi Barnado's, une association britannique d'aide à l'enfance défavorisée.
Selon les chiffres du ministère britannique du Travail et des retraites, chiffres mis en lumières par Barnado's, 48% des enfants vivent sous le seuil de pauvreré dans les quartiers défavorisés du centre de Londres, les chiffres étant de 31% au Pays de Galles et de 30% en Ecosse. Depuis 1997, le nombre des enfants vivant sous le seuil de pauvreté a cepandant baissé de 500.000 en Grande Bretagne, selon les chiffres du ministère.

J'aurais aimé pouvoir faire cette traduction mais.... trop difficile pour moi.

emy, nous n'avons visiblement pas ton niveau d'anglais et en ces périodes de fêtes peux tu nous accorder une trêve en donnant des textes plus abordables et moins rébarbatifs pour que plus de membres puissent se faire plaisir ?

Ben excusez moi...c'est sur qu'ils ont l'air dur comme ca, mais je trouve que vous avez un bon niveau en anglais, d'ailleurs probablement meilleur que le mien...mais bon ok je vais essayer d'en trouver des plus attrayants...

Poverty hits 1 British child out of 3

One child out of three, i.e. 3.8 million children , live in poverty in Great Britain, that is to say in families that live on less than £ 242 (€ 350) per week, Barnado’s, a British charity which helps underprivileged children, revealed last Wednesday.
According to figures from the British Ministry of employment and retirement, which were disclosed by Bernado’s, 48% of those children are living under the poverty line in disadvantaged districts in centre London - the figures are 31% in Wales and 30% in Scotland. However, since 1997, the number of children living under the poverty level has decreased by 500.000 in Great Britain, according to the figures from the Ministry.

bon je suis contente parce que vous faites beaucoup d'efforts en cette période de festivités...Le père Noël ne serait pas déjà passé, je suis sure qu'il vous gâterai beaucoup ! en tout cas je pense que vous vous sous estimez parce que vos traductions sont toutes très bonnes ( oui, pas mal du tout gewurz !! )
