Bonjour,

Dear Andrew,
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I am not able to give you more information about our competitor for the simple reason that I have never seen his product in mine market.
Most of the customers have only our system and in the last 15 years I have never had "to fight " against the product of our competitor.
In mine opinion they have maybe one or two system running but in factories where we are not present but please understand also that we have more than 100 systems running in Greece.
I think this is the main answer for our Peruvian agent. If our competitor doesn't have any system running in his own country, despite the fact that they have this product since more than more 15 years something is weird, isn't it ?

Bonjour..
Quelques erreurs en bleu:

Most of the customers have only our system and in the last 15 years I have never had "to fight " against the product of our competitor. (ou "our competitors product")
In mine opinion they have maybe one or two system(pluriel) running but in factories where we are not present but please understand also that we have more than 100 systems running in Greece.
I think this is the main answer for our Peruvian agent. If our competitor doesn't have any system running in his own country, despite the fact that they have this product since more than more 15 years something is weird, isn't it ?

Hello.
I have 2 suggestions. Instead of to fight, use the verb that competitor comes from. Also...they have this product...the time is starting at some point in the past and continuing until now. What tense can you use?
Sherry

Thank you Lucile 83 and Sherry48,

Instead of ""to fight" I can use "I have never competed" against our competitors product ? That's right ?

but I'm not sure about the second point, can you help me ? You mean "despite the fact that they have had this product for more than 15 years" ?

Marco

Hello.
Yes, you can say, I have never competed against/with our competitors (possessive) product. Despite the fact that they have had this product for more than 15 years works very well. Sherry

Merci beaucoup Sherry48 et merci à tous.

Encore une question, puis-je ajouter:

Regarding the price, the commercial strategy of our competitor since two years is very clear. Every order hat to be taken and the price has never to be an issue.

Cordialement
Marco

Hello.
Regarding the price, the commercial strategy of our competitor (you could make this noun possessive) since two years is very clear. Every order hat (has?) to be taken and the price has never to be an issue. Consider other possibilities such as whatever, regardless of, no matter what here.
Since may be used in this way: They have been on the market since October. But: They came on the market two years ago. Or: Price is not an issue.

La formule "the price has never to be an issue" est totalement fausse ?
salutations
Marco

Hello.
Price isn't an issue, price is not an object, price isn't a problem, and no matter what the price are all said. In the U.S., I often hear price is not an object. Lien internet

Bonsoir,

Regarding the price, the commercial strategy of our competitor since two years is very clear. Every order hat to be taken and the price has never(never viendrait avant has) to be an issue.

Variante:
As far as the price is concerned, the commercial strategy of our competitor has been very clear for the past two years (il faut du present-perfect avec depuis) They consider that each and every order must be agreed to, at any cost, however low it might be.( à n'importe quel prix, aussi bas soit-il)

The price must / should never be an issue, ok, mais ça peut vouloir dire aussi bien qu'il était trop élevé ou trop bas.
