Let's suggest 88/ Taking it easy 34
Message de here4u posté le 17-06-2025 à 09:46:12 (S | E | F)
Hello dear Friends!

Another easy exercice that everyone can do!

1) Do you like playing with the young kids of your family.

2) Is it difficult for you to throw things away, or give them away? Are you a «keeper»?

3) How often a week (or how long) do you ‘play’ on your tablet or your phone?

4) What is your best quality?

Go for it! with THE FORCE.

Hello dears,

Here is our first answer...

ANSWER A: TOPIC 1: Do you like playing with the young kids of your family?

Oh yes, I love playing with infants, I enjoy spending time with them.

We play cards, we play games of reflection or skill, they understand faster than I do; there's no need to explain things to them twice, and they are funny, because they cheat. We also do crafts, recycling cardboard boxes of all kinds to create different objects, and then we decorate them with paint and collages. Of course, we also organize a variety of physical activities, we play ball, hide and seek, we hold ping pong or pétanque tournaments. However, what they like the most is making cakes, because then they can eat them. The days are well filled. The activities must be numerous and quick because they get bored easily. When I manage to keep them quiet for 20 to 30 minutes on an activity, that's already a success. The days are well filled

In the evening everybody is tired but happy.

for your help!

Hello!

ANSWER A: TOPIC 1: Do you like playing with the young kids of your family?

A good text!

Oh yes, I love playing with infants (young) children, I enjoy spending time with them. (infants are babies or very young children, you don't play cards or hold pétanque tournaments with them)

We play cards, we play (unnecessary repetition) and games of reflection or skill, they understand faster than I do; there's no need to explain things to them twice, and they are funny, because they cheat (strange) . We also do crafts, recycling cardboard boxes of all kinds to create different objects, and then we decorate them with paint and collages. Of course, we also organize a variety of physical activities, we play ball, hide and seek, we hold ping-pong (spelling) or pétanque tournaments. However, what they like the most is making cakes, because then they can eat them. The days are well filled. The activities must be numerous and quick short because they get bored easily. When I manage to keep them quiet for 20 to 30 minutes on with an activity, that's already a success. The days are well filled already said
In the evening everybody is tired but happy.

Hello dears,

Time is running out... Therefore when I received the text below, I thought it was too late... But, for once, I read it before deciding to publish it or not. As there aren't many elements to modify, I decided you'd be the judges...
There's little time left, therefore you're required to post your two versions simultaneously, please.

ANSWER B: please indicate possible mistakes (in 'a blue' copy of the text) AND, then suggest your own solutions.

I am afraid I am a keeper... not in a bad sense of the word... I don't keep dirty pizza boxes, empty soda cans or meal leftovers. I respect hygiene and order, as much as I can... but I suffer when I have to abandon an item (which is out-of fashion, too small or not more wearable... I never throw clothes away. I never throw away books too. I give them to charities or to people in my family or my neigbourhood (children grow up so fast...Books are expensive.) even magazines... I can't throw them away. Sometimes, I leave them in places and indicate that everyone can take them.
If clothes are really old, I put them in big container to recycle. I don't really understand people who collect things (a stamp collection is different, it has a memory and a value...). I like clean places, I hate dirty plates and dishes piled in the sink, and paper all over the place in a home, but I like books in a row on shelves.

Thanks for your help!

a home : a care home for the elderly.
(five days) in a row : five consecutive days.

ANSWER A: TOPIC 1: Do you like playing with the young kids of your family?

Oh yes, I love playing with infants (1)(young) children, I enjoy spending time with them. (infants are babies or very young children, you don't play cards or hold pétanque tournaments with them)

We play cards, we play (unnecessary repetition) and games of reflection or skill, they (aurait eu besoin de la répétition du sujet après de la ponctuation: phrase trop longue.)understand faster than I do; there's no need to explain things to them twice, and they are funny, because they cheat (strange) (2). We also do crafts, recycling cardboard boxes of all kinds to create different objects, and then we decorate them with paint and collages. Of course, we also organize a variety of physical activities, we play ball, hide and seek, we hold ping-pong (spelling)'3) or pétanque tournaments. However, what they like the most is making cakes, because then they can eat them. The days are well filled. The activities must be numerous and quick short because they get bored easily.(4) When I manage to keep them quiet for 20 to 30 minutes on with an activity, that's already a success. The days are well filled already saidYes! Bon texte et bonnes corrections ;

(1) 'infants': gerold is right.
a)Newborn Stage: 0-3 months
b)Infant Stage: 3-12 months a and b + 1 year till 2 are called 'babies'.
c)Toddler Stage: 1-3 years
d)Preschool Stage: 3-4 years
e)School Stage: 4-5 years d and e are called 'young kids'
(2) A funny comment! but a true one... As we try to be very clear when we explain the games to kids, and perhaps simplify , often, they manage to find an easier way to play and we call that 'cheating'. Once explained the concept of cheating, they do it on purpose to tease adults.
(3) I prefer 'table-tennis'.
(4) get bored? I think it's rather that it's difficult to stay focussed on the same item for more than 15 to 20 minutes... and I can tell you that it lasts till eighteen...

ANSWER B:
gerold's suggestions.

I am afraid I am a keeper( a hoarder/ a packrat)... not inathe bad sense of the word... I don't keep dirty pizza boxes, empty soda cans or meal leftovers. I respect hygiene and order, as much as I can... but I suffer when I have to abandon an item (which is out of fashion, too small or not more(??not sure this is correct) no longer wearable(1). I never throw clothes away. I never throw away books tooeither. I give them to charities or to people in my family or my neigbourhood (children grow up so fast...Books are expensive.) even magazines... I can't throw them away. Sometimes, I leave them in places and indicate that everyone (3)can take them.
If clothes are really old, I put them in X big container to recycle.to be recycled in a (big) (used) clothing collection container. I don't really understand people who collect things (a stamp collection is different, it has a memory and a value...). I like clean places, I hate dirty plates and dirty dishes piled in the sink, and paperpapers all over the place in a home, but I like books in a row lined up on shelves.

- a home: a care home for the elderly (or the sick). It's true, but not only. 'Take me home/ I really feel comfortable in my home/ an Englishman's home is his castle'
(1) 'not more wearable' peut, hélas, s'entendre... mais l'orthodoxie grammaticale voudrait que 'no more' ne s'emploie que pour une quantité et
'no longer' pour le temps;
(2) I drink tea and I drink coffee too// I don't drink tea and I don't like coffee either;
- to wash up // to wash the dishes
(3)I'd much prefer 'anyone' (n'importe qui).
- I put old clothes in a big container to be recycled.
(five days) in a row : five consecutive days. Yes.
