Bonjour,

Je dois rechercher une description et une analyse du tableau "Confrontation at the Bridge by Jacob Lawrence (1974)" pour répondre à un questionnaire !

Bonjour,

In the first place, we are shown simple shapes and intense primary colors.

We can see that there is a contrast between the black skin of the persons on the bridge and the lively colors of their clothes. The characters occupy an important place with regard to the animal to the left. These black persons look rebel, they would wish past this bridge but they are pushed away by a wild animal. We show us that they are frightened because they squeeze their teeth.

Confrontation at the Bridge, depicts an incident that took place on March 7, 1965 when a group of activists in Alabama began a protest march from Selma to the States Capitol in Montgomery in support of voting rights for all citizens. Stopped at the Edmund Pettus Bridge by local and state police with Billy clubs and tear gas, they were forced to turn back.

Que pensez-vous de mon texte?
Y a t-il des erreurs d'expression ?

Pour "We show us" j'ai pensé à "It show us"

In the first place, we are shown simple shapes and intense primary colors.( que viendrait faire cette phrase en début de texte?)

We can see that there is a contrast between the black skin of the persons on the bridge and the lively colors of their clothes. The characters occupy an important place with regard to the animal to the left. These black persons look rebel, they would wish past this bridge but they are pushed away by a wild animal. We show us that they are frightened because they squeeze(presser un citron, pas serrer les dents) their teeth.

Stopped at the Edmund Pettus Bridge by local and state police with Billy clubs and tear gas, they were forced to turn back. (extrait du texte, donc sans fautes)

"With regard to" -> "by report" ??

"Squeeze" -> "to clench one's teeth" ???

Hello again,
it shows us...présent troisième personne: s.
ils veulent: to want + l'infinitif complet du verbe traverser.
ils voudraient: they would like + l'infinitif complet du verbe traverser.

Bonsoir,

We can see that there is a contrast between the black skin of the persons on the bridge and the lively colors of their clothes. The characters occupy an important place by report the animal to the left. These black persons(people) look rebel, They would like to pass this bridge but they are pushed away by a wild animal. It show* us that they are frightened because they clench one's(à accorder) teeth.
