Doute / pay rise

Bonjour,
voilà J'ai un doute sur le sens de ma phrase:
"I deal with my boss for pay rise."
Est-elle correcte ?
Dois-je rajouter le "a" devant "pay rise" ?

rappel:
pour: for + nom
pour: to + verbe
j'aurais mis votre premier verbe en ing si vous êtes en train de négocier:
I am dealing with my boss for a pay-rise
I am dealing with my boss to get a pay-raise.
"I insist on going out tonight" est correct.
Les prépositions précèdent un nom ou un verbe transformé en nom grâce à ing appelé "gérondif".
I am fond of sports / I am fond of swimming.
I am keen on sports / I am keen on running.
I insist on this problem / I insist on dealing with this problem.

Hello!This is an interesting use of the verb "to deal (with)". In American English, it has more of a negative connotation.
I can't deal with this.
I can't deal with you.
Then, there are car "dealers" = salesmen, who are "wheeling and dealing" = selling cars.
There are also card "dealers", i.e. jouer aux cartes, who "deal" the cards.
If we wanted a "pay raise"
, we would say:I'm asking my boss for a pay raise, or, I'm working with my boss to get a pay raise.

I am making a deal with my boss for a pay rise
mais de toutes façons j'emploierais un autre verbe.
I am discussing a pay rise with my boss/I am talking about a pay rise with my boss
ou tout simplement comme notrepere a dit:
I am asking my boss for a pay rise.

Yes notrepere,you are right, we discuss something, this is a transitive verb.
I mixed up discuss and talk!

Deal with it! or You deal with it! (This means "Go take care of it yourself")
No big deal = De rien
