Can anybody give me a definition of the verbs 'to fit' and 'to suit' and the differnce between these 2 verbs (perhaps with an axample)?

the examples given thru this link are simple. Yet I have a further question concerning 'fit' and 'suit' : can they be used only for clothing or also for other topics ?
