e.g : She stopped to look at the window display.
e.g : He stopped smoking last week
L’infinitif nous explique l’intention (INfinitif = INtention).

- "She stopped to look at the window display."

Ou plutôt "I stop to smoke tomorrow" or "I'm going to stop tomorrow".
parceque finalement : "I stopped to smoke tomorrow" = "I stop to smoke today" ? Si tu as décider hier d'arrêter le lendemain ....

I stopped to smoke tomorrow ?!?
Je pense que vous voulez dire "I will stop ..." ou "I'm going to stop".
"I will stop smoking tomorrow."
"I'm going to stop smoking tomorrow."
Donc "to stop" s'emploie à l'infinitif.
"I want to stop smoking tomorrow."
