Salut fredericbain, ton sujet est très intéressant! J'attends le prochain avec impatience. J'ai fait des recherches et pour ceux qui ne savent pas quand utiliser the ou rien, voici la conclusion.

Si on parle que quelquechose en général, on met rien.
Ex: I like coffee (le café=général)

Si on parle de quelquechose de précis on utilise the.
Ex:I like the coffee I made.(mon café=spécifique)
